Our Mission

Christopher Foster acquired a parcel of land in Sagaponack in 1651, providing for his generation and for those farmers who followed, land rich with incomparable soil. Aware of a resource especially suitable for agriculture, the acreage which the Foster Family Foundation of Sagaponack shall preserve is for those who will continue to cultivate the land.

The purpose of the Foundation is to assure that the land is actively farmed and conductive to that purpose, attention is paid to the environment and habitat that sustains good stewardship.
